I am so disappointed, initially they were welcoming and very helpful, so much so that the brides grandmother was talked into purchasing a veil way over what was planned to spend as she was told they would work with her on making the payments!
At the same time we agreed to have them do alterations on the gown though it had not been purchased there, apparently to make it easier on us they put everything on one bill...
6 weeks before the wedding my daughter went to try on her dress and there was a note attached stating "Do not start Alterations until Payment is received in full"... Nothing had been stated about this in the beginning!
In a panic I asked gma how much longer she had to pay it off, it was her understanding she had up to the week of the wedding. Yes I paniced more, how were they to do alterations a day or 2 before the wedding!
I did ask if we could take the veil off (realizing it was too much for grandma) I was told NO all sales are FINAL and that we should ask guest to help pay for the veil (just a friendly option).
So in a full state of panic I asked if we could just get our dress back (which in the beginning it was not required we leave with them) I was told NO again that we could not have the dress until the bill was paid in full (Did I mention we did not buy the GOWN THERE)...
I took the money for the veil and went to get the dress... I didn't tell them I was coming but I'm pretty sure they knew.
I went in and asked to find out what I needed to pay to leave with my daughters dress, the clerk looked it up and said the entire amount needed paid as she was sure the dress was being altered, she said she would check, and soon another person came to the front and asked what the problem was.
I told her everything that had happened from the start of finding out that the alterations weren't going to be started until payment was recieved in full to the point I was told I could not have the dress.... The person tells me to calm down that she can assure me the alterations have been started after all "there is 5 weeks before the wedding we're not going to wait till the last minute to do alterations" as for the dress, "Honey I've been in business over 22yrs I have never held a dress for "Ransom", the clerk you spoke with was standing right next to me when she talked to you, that is not what she told you, it may have been how you preceived it, but that was not her intention."
She then told me she could show me that the dress was nearly finished and would be by the end of the day, if that would help calm me down I was still upset and I told her I wanted to leave with the dress that day! At this point I wanted to know I had my daughters dress (even if I was being overly dramatic) she told me when it would be done by and I went back and picked it up! My daughter had just left for college 2 days prior so was not with me when this took place, she gets home last night and is excited to try on her gown!!!
UGH the "alteration" was to create a new modesty panel, they did... it is about 2 inches smaller than it should be (apparently the diffrence is from how far back they sewed the one side) and they forgot to put the snaps on the otherside even if it were to close... I realize we probably rushed them but seriously!!! Now 3 weeks before the wedding I am searching for someone to finish what I already paid them to do!!!
Great Service. I was a plus sized bride. Most wedding stores are not as friendly to us larger gals. Wendy and the staff at Party Palisades were great. I found the perfect dress, and the customer service was wonderful. I would recommend this to any bride.

The day was everything that Camille had hoped for. Not only did Party Palisades provide her with a beautiful wedding gown that everyone thought was so "her". It was so easy because they accommodated all of our bridesmaids and the bridesmaids were lovely. Their personal attention was just that "Personal". Everyone was so pleasant on the phone and in person and made us feel special, not just a customer for 9/09. WE certainly appreciated all of their professional experience and attention to detail that was needed to make her wedding day special and to make wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. They had a wonderful selection of everything to choose from. I want to thank them again for doing the alterations for us, as it is hard to find someone to do such a fine job. P.S. Thank you Party Palisades for sharing your talents and expertise. We are going to shop there for my other daughters.
Terrible Customer Service. I would never recommend this place. Although they were very friendly and accommodating when I called to set up the initial appointment to have my girls sized and order the dresses. That got us all right in that very Saturday! But from that point on everything went down hill. They wouldn?t allow my girls to make weekend appointments to be fitted and alterations. All of the alterations looked terrible! My bridesmaids could barely breath in their dresses. The Sales Girls were completely rude and made all three of the bridesmaid go in one dressing room. One of the dresses was stained and taken in were the stain was to try to hide this. (the dress was not even supposed to be taken in. They were just supposed to let it out.) When my bridesmaid took the dress to a different seamstress to have it fixed they discovered the stain. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. PARTY PALISADES IS HORRIBLE!!!! I felt so terrible for putting my bridesmaids through this. I even called to talk to the owner and let her know how disappointed I was and she made a lot of excuses and basically denied everything. I hope this information can help another bride from making the same mistake that I made.
