Always a good time. We've been frequenting this place since we moved to Des Moines 2 years ago and have always had great experiences. They are very friendly and the food has been nothing but excellent. I alway take out of town friends for dinner.

Drunk owner often a bother.. Over the past 15 years in DSM I have stopped into El Patio for dinner a few times. The food is not good, which is widely known. The patio is great for an afternoon of drinks. I'll probably end up there again for some reason or another.

A bit below average. The food was nothing special here. Chips seemed to be out of a bag. We waited entirely too long for very average food. The patio is a great place for a drink, but I wouln't eat dinner here again.
