Scam-o-rama!!

Went into Careernet yesterday to interview for a pediatrics position..was so excited! Thought I would actually have a shot at this position considering I had great work experience and posessed all the skills necessary for the position. In the process of being interviewed I could sense that something just wasnt right. The interviewer "Brett" was acting very strangely...as if he was just playing everything out or acting..He didnt seem very interested in me or my resume..he seemed more interested in selling his career services to me..He wouldnt disclose exactly where this pediatrics clinic was located..he just said "up the street" He said I needed my resume and cover letter redone..that there was too many spaces and that I needed to use bullet points..He also suggested that I take some interviewing classes..which was going to run me $150 all together....
I left this place pretty P.O'ed!! Felt like I just wasted my time..and if im looking for a job what makes him think that I have 150 dollars to just throw around??
Anyways long story short..I wouldnt trust this place..,
- Pros: read a neat article in small business mag..while waiting
- Cons: Tried scamming me out of $150...Wasted my time and gas
Recommend this place to anybody

I really had a good experience. I interviewed with Brett, though he was personable and honest, and got a job out of it. Never once did he mention anything about my resume and cover letter, however, he did say they offer an interviewing class. I decided to take it and thought it was valuable.
I suggested to one of my friends that they check Career Net out, and she is one of 3 finalist at a decent job. We'll see if she ends up getting it or not.
This place is legit.
- Pros: Got a job
- Cons: None so far
Scamming for money...and has horrible taste in furniture.

As I sat down patiently waiting my interview, a poor unfortunate soul came walking out of the interview office looking very sad and very mad....thinking this individual must of got rejected for the job, I kept my head high and hoped my results were not the same.
I sat down and Brett asked to hear some exciting things about myself and I dove right into my work experience, and how it directly relates to the job I was applying for.
He didn't look at my resume nor ask relevant questions after I was done talking, nor did he seem too interested in saying anything about the job, except that I was a great candidate for it , and the job paid in the upper 30's, with full benefits and that he was not entitled to disclose the name of the place that I was applying for.
Then after asking me several times if I was interested in the job he asked if he could be blunt and said my resume was terrible.
As in the title not being catchy enough, a few extra spaces here or there, bullet points instead of paragraphs, two words that shouldn't of been oh plus he added in a few extra remarks that made absolutely no sense at all...like periods after stating one word. capitalized, and a few things that were not aligned very well, I admit it needed some reformatting, but not enough to spend fifty bucks on .
Either way I didn't show up to buy his resume or cover letter services nor his interview services which all cost a whopping 50 bucks a piece.
Needless to say I did walk out of his office sad and pretty mad...I really thought I had a great chance at a job today!
This is not a traditional temp agency trying to help people find jobs, its a business trying to scam money from people down on their luck and desperate to find a job. I just hope the American public is smarter than Brett
Majors is and decides to go to a real temp agency or the Iowa work force center that gives you free services to find jobs.
Check out his website at careernetinc.c.om and see for yourself about his wonderful resume services.
- Pros: it got me out of the house
- Cons: everything.
