Order the Chicken Asiago - it is absolutely divine! It's my favorite meal out of any restaurants I've been to in Des Moines. Everyone raves over the DeBurgo and Shrimp Scampi too. You are missing out if you've never been to Tumea & Sons.

• Cons: Sometimes Short Staffed

The service from our waitress was very good but the food is average and small portions for the money.Tip was added to the bill without asking if I wanted to leave one. The waitress would have gotten a larger tip if I were allowed to leave it on my own.

Great for the Family or a Date

Modest prices, great food, the best service I have had in years, nice wine list, and a wonderful atmosphere make this one of the best stops in Des Moines to eat. The owner spends evenings in the yard behind the restaurant playing Bocce and socializing with customers late into the evening. Stop in once and you will realize that you now have a new stop on the list of places you need to return with friends.
