Waffles for breakfast were fantastic. It was great to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Very soft mattress.

On our trip, this was the only motel with personal refrigerator, and everything appeared clean.

The room was clean, quiet and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, had a heat lamp and the shower was strong...but kind of short for someone over 6 feet tall. Still, for the price it was well worth it.

Except for the older condition of the hotel, the stay was nice and pleasant and made do for our needs. I can not say enough good things about the people working there.

Manny and the other staff were pleasant and very helpful. Before we arrived, we requested a room on the first floor and close to the entrance; we couldn’t have been happier with the placement of our room. The room was great – the lighting, desk space and outlets available exceeded our expectations. Our stay was for five days; we found the dresser and especially the wardrobe closet were great. The wardrobe closet was deep enough to store our suitcases. The bed and the chairs were very comfortable. The cost of our stay was a real bargain. We will be returning to the Des Moines area again in September 2013; we will stay at the Super 8 in Urbandale.

For the price, this is a good overnight stop when driving through Iowa. It is close to I-80, there are chain restaurants nearby. You can drive less than 10 miles from the hotel and find any standard chain restaurant or store that you find in franchise America.

The hotel was clean, although the hall had the institutional smell. The rooms were extra large. Everything worked in our rooms so it met our need. We used a coupon from one of the free travel books at the Iowa welcome stop and paid under $50. for the room.

I'm giving this hotel an above average rating based on the cost. We used one of those coupons you get at rest centres so this was a very inexpensive place to stay. The pool was a nice bonus that we used before we dropped into bed after a long day of driving. The free wifi wouldn't work in the room, but did work by the pool and in the lobby. Breakfast was basic continental, but got us going for the day. This was basic, clean accommodation that was inexpensive and located well for the highway.
