Not bad for a Chain. I normally never bother to eat at a chain, as it isn't fair to spend my money on conglomerates and squeeze out the entrepreneur. But, I really wanted Italian and everyone just kept recommending this one. I've been 3 times now on my trips to the area and only once have I been disappointed.

The service is great, very personable for a chain. But, I usually sit in the bar or bar area and don't really know about the main dining staff.

The Seafood Combo is awesome, very fresh seafood, GIGANTIC, and tasty. It could use a little more basil, but for the price it can't be beat.

However; I ventured off and tried the Orange Roughy in a cream sauce at lunch there once, it was dreadful. It was about 2 oz. of filet, in a bland sauce and bland sides. I sent it back got the Seafood Combo, and all ended well. The waiter wasn't even whiny when I returned it.

Better than Olive Garden. If you hate going to Olive Garden at 4 on a Saturday and still have an hour wait, head over a mile or so to Biaggi's. The service is better, the atmosphere is better, and the food is better. The waiters are attentive, and very professional. Last time I was in, I had a pizza. It is to die for. The crust is crispy, very authentic. It kept me dreaming of the next time we could go back!

The Best Italian In Town. Biaggis has the best Italian food! I recommend the Filet or the Osso Bucco. The service is always excellent and the chef really knows what he is doing! They also have great sandwiches and salads at lunch. Biaggis has an amazing wine room for parties and they are always accomodating. A Place you much definitely try!

Will Definitely Return. Every time I have been here, the service has been excellent. When with my husband, we were seated at a romantic table, when with a friend, a lovely table in the center of things. The food is always super, I consider this in my fav's in Des Moines.
