Great Upscale Italian- Local Style!

This restaurant is widely regarded among locals as a top option in quality eating out.
Good quality and delicious, romantic atmosphere (great for a date). The bread is fresh from a local nearby bakery, and everyone loves it. You should go. Popular for business lunch as well.

Best non-chain restaurant in Des Moines

Coming from Chicago, I am partial to locally owned, independent restaurants. I have gone to Centro on numerous occassions because of the variety in the menu and great service. The food is always fantastic and servers are extremely polite. Centro is great for dinner, carry-out or brunch, although if you're planning to dine in, you may need to call ahead for a reservation on the weekend. The brick oven pizza is also top notch. Prices are extremely reasonable. Cute old-Italian decor, romantic ombience. Love it!
