One of our favorites!!!. Great food and service. Very family friend! Our kids could sit and watch the Cartoon Network at our table while my wife and I had a GREAT lunch!!! The staff is very friendly and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy. We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed!

A response to the roach comment.. Mickey's Waukee has not had a roach sighting in the last three and a half years of the current ownership. We have monthly pest treatments done and there has never been evidence of roaches.

However since you were here in May I can assure you that the odds of seeing a harmless dead beetle in the back hall are fairly good. During summer they seem to find a way inside no matter what we do, especially in that hall. (The fun part of being on the edge of the Metro and near farm fields.) They die quickly due to the pest treatments.

Thank you for alerting us to your seeing one and we will try to remain vigilant on sealing that door with weather strip. In the meantime please do return and give us another try!

Hmm.... I saw two cockroaches lurking around the bathroom and bar area while I was there about 2 weeks ago.

review. Very nice place with great food and an atmosphere to cater to all. Daytime and evenings are great for dining and can stay afterwards for a couple cocktails. Lunch and dinners specials.
