Stella's Blue Sky Diner

Best fun family 50's restaurant in the city. There are other diner's in Des Moines but none are as authenic 50's as Stella's, now that is just the atmosphere and ambience, now let's get started on the food.... the shakes don't get any better or thicker than these, create your own or be daring and try one of their creations or just go for the good 'ol vanilla, chocolate or strawberry, I'm sure you will be smiling from ear to ear after the first sip saying YUMMY!

Now for those burgers, these are what I'm talkin about..... the beef is so flavorful and so juicy. The broasted chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, I'm getting hungry..... I live in Los Angeles and visit for the summer and that is one restaurant I frequent when I am there, I must say honestly there is not one 50's diner as viby and tasty as Stella's in Los Angeles.

I could just keep going on and on about Stella's but all I can say is just go on in, give it a try and you'll be saying that person was right on that review.....Enjoy!!!!! Wish I was there for a bite.…

Best chocolate/banana milkshakes anywhere!!. Stella's is a wonderful place to take your family. It is a kid-friendly restaurant and loads of fun! My three children love the Stella's menu and enjoy having a milkshake poured on their head(s) at every visit. My husband and I enjoy Stella's atmosphere. The food is excellent not to mention the wonderful customer service and wait staff. Two thumbs up to Stella's-the greatest family restaurant in town!!!!…

Awesome atmosphere!! Very family friendly!! Great Service. Highly recommended!! Tons of fun!! Great food!! Great service!! The kids love the singing and dancing done by the staff we all love it!! Especially how the milkshakes are individually poured if you choose, just don't move!! Have to check it out to know what we mean!! A must see!!…

Fun theme. We had a great time at this restaurant. Very kid friendly, and an exceptionally entertaining and happy place. It's diner food but better: you can have good balsamic vinegar with your salad, for example, and the quality is excellently fresh. The kids got their fries in little 50's paper cars. It's popular and full of people, but with hardworking staff in period dress, it feels like a cozy place from times gone by.…
