Great looking color!. I've been in Iowa for 4 years now and it has taken me all of this time to find Meredith. I am a natural medium to dark brunette and am lightly graying. I have allowed many highlights and lowlights to be worked into my hair. Nothing ever looked natural and I have been dealing constantly with the damage. How could there be so much difference between colorists? Meredith left me a natural looking healthy brown. I look attractive again! Last minute, great service!
I was in Des Moines for the Gold Star Horse Show and needed my hair done. I called at 10 minutes to 8 p.m. expecting to set an appt for later in the week. Giovanna & Meredith were booked so they conversed and decided to have me come right down. Not only did I get AWESOME hair (cut & color), I was treated like royalty, not a last minute pain in the.......! Giovanna gave me a great hair cut, Meredith did some very cool color and I walked out of there totally happy and satisfied with the services I got.
They went way above and beyond the kind of service and treament I expected as a possible 1X or 1X per year customer. If I get to go back for another horse show (waaaaay up north there in IA), I'll call before I leave home and set an appt to see them again!

And I don't like salons in general. Stylists rarely listen, and on top of that, they tend to force invasive conversations about my personal life.
My only experience with Atelier is with Meredith, a colorist. She not only listened but took quite a bit of time clarifying my desires to make sure she understood. I was skeptical of the lowlights she suggested with my highlights, but the result was beautiful. I've only had one visit with her, but she earned my trust. An added benefit was that she caught on quickly that I didn't want to talk much or answer irrelevant questions. Thus, not only was the hair color what I wanted, but so was the overall experience.
The salon is small and a wee bit crowded, but it was so much more pleasant than an enormous fast food type of salon. The prices are just a little more than most upper scale salons in the Des Moines area, but Meredith's expertise was well worth the price.
