What I appreciated most with the lessons was the teacher's willingness to cater to individual interest and make progress in areas/subjects that you are into at the time. It made learning enjoyable because you, as opposed to a rigid series of topics/lessons, influenced what you learned each week. That said, expect to be a well rounded player, as the teacher seems to make it all relevant and interesting.

A lesson plan and a handful of lessons worked around my mostly insane schedule, and I am playing music! (And it's rather more fun than just shouting along.) The teacher is endlessly patient, encouraging, and positive. And focuses on what I want to learn, while providing me useful exercises to build my technical ability. Taking lessons with this teacher is fun, but it is also absolutely the best thing I could have done to jumpstart my playing.

a wonderful piano teacher!. a wonderful piano teacher! he teaches theory and technique with a nice mix of classical music and enough stuff to keep my two children interested. he is encouraging and demanding at the same time and my children adore him. whenever my kids play, people inquire about their teacher.
